WHAT'S UP?

Sorry things have been quiet around here blog-wise. I have been keeping busy with little projects but time is kind of limited with homeschooling. The time I have to spare, I occupy myself with manageable projects that are easy to finish or that I don’t mind being interrupted from.

The last big project I finished was ME. It was such an interesting experiment to do a self portrait. I knew my inner critic was going to be out in full force (and it was) but there were times I could let that go and really like myself. It was a journey, for sure! Once I finished that, I opted for some fun light little projects.

I decided to try doing a food illustration in thread. I often paint food so I wanted to see if I could translate that to thread and I really liked the reflection of light on this Jello. It was a fun distraction from the intensity of portraits. I would love to try some more.

I try to keep up my painting practice by doing a painting a day. The subject is usually food since it’s so accessible but it’s also really pretty. I post daily on my instragram (@pamashdesigns).

I decorated another pair of jeans because I can’t bear the empty palette of a plain pair of jeans…..my mom/artist/pandemic uniform:)

Lastly, I finally got around to painting this charming thrift store chandelier that will be hung in our kitchen. I’ve had it for months and I CAN’T WAIT to see it installed. I LOVE IT! We have a bright colorful kitchen so it should feel right at home. What are you all doing to keep your sanity these days?Hope everyone is staying well and feeling productive!Wishing you all the best!
