LEMONADE FROM SCRATCH!

Powdered country time lemonade was always a staple in the summertime.  A great quickie for lemonade stand fun!  However, once I discovered how easy it is to make the home-made kind, it has become the new summer favorite.  It is so easy to make and has just a few simple ingredients!

Start by squeezing enough lemons to make one full cup of lemon juice (It took five nice sized lemons).

Using my handy dandy lemon juicer.

I used 5 large lemons and got exactly one cup of juice.

Add one cup of sugar and one cup of water to a saucepan and bring it to a boil until the sugar is dissolved.

Once the sugar is dissolved, let the mixture cool a little.

Fill a pitcher (that can hold at least 10 cups water) with ice.  Add the sugar mixture, the freshly squeezed lemon juice, and 8 cups of water (64 fluid ounces). Viola!!!!!!!!

DELISH!!!! Of course you can garnish with some lemon slices which look so pretty floating around in the pitcher or on the rim of the glasses and add that extra lemony kick.  (I ran out making mine or I would have added them.) Grab some fresh flowers from the garden to add to the summery feel!

Happy Summer!!

Warmly,

Pam
